Salt Equities was founded in 2006 by Sal Smeke and Michael Wahba. Successful operators of the residential markets around the world, Mr. Smeke and Mr. Wahba have invested in the equity side of companies across a variety of real estate ventures for almost a decade.

Prior to founding Salt Equities, Mr. Smeke and Mr. Wahba founded United Equity Investments, LLC.  A New York based company especialized in various real estate areas including a 50% investment in Prudential Douglas Elliman Capital Markets and The Cipriani building on 110 East 42nd street.

Headquartered in New York, the firm manages assets and real estate interests in the North East Region. Salt Equity draws on the skills of experienced managers and its Senior Principals, Sal Smeke and Michael Wahba, who have spent virtually their entire careers in the residential market.
